About the Artist

Louise is a South African artist whose work is shaped by travel, observation and a lifelong commitment to learning. After early studies at Pretoria Technikon, she travelled extensively through Europe with a sketchbook, an experience that continues to influence her practice. She later lived and worked in the United States before returning to South Africa and settling on the Garden Route. Louise now lives and works in Stilbaai, Western Cape. Working across a range of mediums, her work explores the relationship between people and the natural world, moving quietly between realism and abstraction.
